The Mason Center for Human-AI Innovation for Society (CHAIS) (formerly, Center for Advancing Human Machine Partnership or CAHMP) is dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research, education, and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in ways that enhance human potential and societal well-being. Our mission is to foster human-centered AI solutions by integrating insights from diverse disciplines.

CHAIS envisions a future where AI-driven innovations are developed and deployed with human flourishing in mind. The center serves as a hub for collaboration among faculty, government agencies, industry leaders and students to shape AI’s role in society while addressing pressing grand challenges.
